About Christina Fitzgerald, MS RD LDN

Christina Fitzgerald, MS RD LDN is a Chicago-based registered dietitian (RD)

Christina Fitzgerald, MS RD LDNand licensed dietitian nutritionist (LDN).  Christina received her Bachelors of Science Degree in Food Science and Human Nutrition-Dietetics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and then her Masters of Science in Nutrition from the University of North Florida.  She additionally holds a Certification in Adult Weight Management through the Commission on Dietetic Registration.  

Prior to the opening of her private practice in 2006, Christina spent six cumulative years in clinical work between Rush North Shore Medical Center and Children's Memorial Hospital.  Christina served as Senior Clinical Dietitian for the division of Endocrinology while at Children's Memorial Hospital.  

Christina has been invited to speak at national nutrition medical conferences including the American Society of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition.  Christina is a leading expert on Pediatric Eating Disorders and serves as the lead author for the American Society of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition Pediatric Text on Eating Disorders.   

In addition to her practice, Christina serves as a consultant dietician with New Hope Recovery Center in their residential outpatient, intensive outpatient (IOP), and extended care programs.  Her primary responsibilities include nutrition therapy for all clients with alcohol and substance abuse with a co-addiction to food and leads the weekly Eating Disorder Group, Meal Planning and Nutrition Group, and Lunch Group.    

Christina currently resides in the northwest suburbs of Chicago with her husband, her three and a half year old son, Ryan, and her 21 month old son, Colin.   My Family

It is my mission to bring serenity back to our relationship with food.  I strongly believe that food impacts every aspect of your life, both physically and emotionally.  By improving food choices, quality of life improves. Food is nourishment for our body, mind and soul.  Therefore, I am dedicated to educating others on how to make simply nutrition choices that will be life-long changes and will improve both mental and physical health.
