This cooking class is made possible and sponsored by UVA Health System and UVA's Cancer Center.
This class is designed for those going through cancer treatment or those in cancer recovery or trying to prevent disease. Nirvana Abou-Gabal will be teaching the class and will be joined by UVA Cancer Center's Registered Dietitian, Carole Havrila. Guests will receive a sample of each of the courses listed below as well as the recipes to take home.
A warming and aromatic lentil dish
Served with a tahini sauce, and a garnish of pine nuts and pomegranate
Sweet Lebneh Dip
Subtly flavored with cardamom, and sweetened with maple syrup
(served with fresh berries)
Hazelnut Date Bites
A delicious and easy to prepare treat
Gluten Free and Vegan (excluding Lebneh Dip)
